Children's Play Labyrinths in 3ds Max
This is commercial experience, not a study project. For about two years I worked as an industrial 3D designer at a company that built children’s play mazes — large structures for indoor play halls that kids crawl through. Clients were across Russia. Over that time I delivered 35+ design projects, many from scratch.
The goal was practical: take a client brief and quickly produce a maze design that could be shown, approved, and passed on to production. A working project: what would stand on the floor, how it looked, which modules it was built from, and how it was filled out.
Sometimes related work came with it — play-hall interiors, entrance areas, birthday rooms, decorations, and custom modules. The core of the job was still the fast design of the mazes themselves.
After that the project moved through the production chain. My part ended at design and approval, not at assembly on site. The client ended up with a real play maze in the hall — as the result of the company’s full pipeline.
I now focus on character art in Blender. I keep the mazes in the portfolio as hard-surface and commercial background: speed, clear design, real constraints, and client approval.
