ComfyUI is a node-based interface for image generation with Stable Diffusion and related models.
Why I Use ComfyUI
I use it for quick sketches: to show clients what they could receive or to visualize something they have described when no reference image is available. It is not a replacement for sculpting or modeling in Blender. ComfyUI is a supporting tool at the idea and approval stage. I use it for a quick 2D sketch when looking for references would take too long, or when I would otherwise draw from scratch.
How I Use It in Practice
| Task | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Quick sketch from a description | A client describes an idea, and I show what it could look like |
| Concept variations | Several visual directions before starting 3D, without spending hours drawing |
| Client approval | Making sure we are talking about the same thing before modeling begins in Blender |
| Reference when no image exists | Camera angle and lighting, or the mood of the scene. A preliminary reference |
| The final character for a game or a VTuber, or for the portfolio, is still made in Blender, including topology, UVs, rigging, and export. |
